Working in studio

Beneath the Reflection is the most recent project I have undertaken. As usual started the idea of the project with various sketches and hands on smaller 2D and 3D artworks. With generous support from Ontario Arts Council; few years ago I began my journey through the production and fabrication of these works which are consist of numerous digital sketches, acid (patina) wash, enamel paintings on copper, and a few mechanized installations. The first series of the works produced will be on display at Definitely Superior Art Gallery (Thunder Bay).

‘Reverberation’ is a multifaceted installation based on my memory of the protracted war between Iran and Iraq in the 80’s. The world watched this disastrous war for over 8 years; as weapons of mass destruction and chemical weapons were sold by the advanced (so called free) world. This war killed over 2 million people and destroyed two neighboring countries; both considered to be cradles of human civilization. ‘Reverberation’, is one of the installations from my “Beneath The Reflection” body of work (2016 – Current). Thanks to the wonderful people and organizations who helped me produce, install and exhibit this series of work.
