Neither Nor Land

This artwork is reflecting on my personal experience as an exiled person. Detached from my past and far from settling or truly fitting in any other place, finding myself drifting between familiar memories and similar experiences I had in both my birth country and country that I came to adapt as my home.

The artwork consists of two light boxes. Between them is a piece of driftwood with a sculpted home on top. Dyed paper is placed between two pieces of plexi-glass on top of the boxes. Each box has a moving shadow. In the image presented from the work the shadow on the left box imitating the local land mark Sleeping Giant and in the right falling bombs that are moving from top to bottom. There is background sound in the left box looping birds and water sounds.
